Alabama football recruit Derrick Henry goes for the national high school rushing record tonight when he leads Yulee (Fla.) High against Taylor County in the Florida Class 4A playoffs.
Henry needs only 103 yards to pass the mark set about six decades ago. Ken Hall rushed for 11,232 yards for Sugar Land (Texas) High during 1950-53 before playing for Bear Bryant at Texas A&M.
Henry, who is 6-foot-3 and 240 pounds, has 3,266 yards this season in 10 games for Yulee (7-3) and 11,130 for his career.
