Tide seniors have a blast in final home game

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama — Alabama’s seniors went out with a win Saturday as the Tide hammered Auburn 49-0, and they had a blast along the way.

“This puts me at 4-1 against Auburn,” said Alabama offensive lineman Barrett Jones, who is a fifth-year senior. “That’s something you’re remembered for here.”

Jones served as a team captain along with linebacker Nico Johnson and defensive end Damion Square.

“We just came out and didn’t worry about the score, the outcome or mistakes,” Johnson said. “We just wanted to have fun and dominate.”
