Alabama has received the paperwork from Anthony Averett, an athlete from Woodbury (N.J.) High.
Listed at 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds, he is a four-star prospect, and he truly is a good athlete. He played quarterback, defensive back and caught passes. In addition, he is a great track and field performer as well. He recorded the best long jump in New Jersey high school competition since Carl Lewis in 1979.
He made 70 tackles and five interceptions as a senior as he led his team to a 10-2 record.
