Alabama has received a commitment from high school linebacker Walker Jones, who is the younger brother of Crimson Tide center Barrett Jones and tight end Harrison Jones.
A standout at Evangelical Christian School in Cordova, Tenn., Jones is the 18th commitment for the Class of 2013 for Alabama.
In a statement released to reporters, Jones said Alabama coach Nick Saban plans to play him at inside linebacker but he could wind up on the outside or even at H-back.
Jones, who is 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, is rated the 18th best inside linebacker nationally by Rivals.com and No. 80 by Scout.com. He is rated as a three-star prospect by both recruiting services.
