Status of suspended Michigan players unknown

Michigan coach Brady Hoke told AnnArbor.com that no decision has been made whether his two suspended players will play against Alabama on Sept. 1.

Running back Fitz Toussiant and defensive end Frank Clark was arrested last week on a drunken driving charge, while Clark was arrested during the summer when he was accused of stealing a laptop computer from a Michigan dorm.

“Right now, they’re indefinitely suspended,” Hoke told AnnArbor.com. “They will pay the price for poor judgments, which a lot of 18- to 23-year-old kids make, and then we’ll make a decision down the road.”

Michigan will open preseason practice Aug. 6 in anticipation of its opener against Alabama in Dallas.

Another Michigan player suspended

At this rate, will anybody be left to play when Michigan faces Alabama on Sept. 1?

The Wolverines have suspended defensive end Frank Clark. According to an Associated Press report, Clark is accused of taking a laptop computer from a campus dorm room.

Clark was arrested June 19, five days after the theft. The laptop was valued at $1,800.  According to the AP story, he is charged with second-degree home invasion.

Michigan announced Monday that running back Fitzgerald Toussaint is suspended after an arrest for DUI.
