This will conclude my video work at football practice this spring. There may be a few taken at Saturday’s A-Day, but no more blocking sleds until fall. Here is a look at the quarterbacks.
Followed by the linebackers.

In a surprising, yet positive turn of events, Alabama brought Phillip Sims and DeMarcus Milliner into the interview room Wednesday after Nick Saban’s signing day news conference. True freshman are never made available, so quasi-pre-freshmen were welcomed with open-arms by beat writers looking for a different story.
The story comes Friday. Read more about the pair, and look for a wider sweeping story about high school seniors enrolling early in college.
(The photo below taken by this amateur photographer, showing Milliner on the left and Sims on right talking to reporters)

Once again, we take a look at five members of the committed class of 2010.
Quarterback Phillip Sims
Wide receiver DeAndrew White
Kicker (and middle linebacker?) Cade Foster
That’s all for this series. If I stumble across any other good videos, you’ll be the first to know.

Ahhh. The relaxation of a bye week. Well, sort of. It’s not a complete week away from football for this beat writer. While I’m working on a few things for the weekend papers, here are a few other stories you might like to read.
That’s it for now. Thanks for visiting. If you’re a newcomer, I’d welcome you to bookmark the Bama Blog and make it a daily destination.

The famous “Faces in the Crowd” feature in this week’s Sports Illustrated featured the quarterback of the future for Alabama. Check out the picture of Phillip Sims, the Virginia quarterback who committed to the Tide. See video of Sims here.
