The quarterbacks
The thermometer says it’s 100 degrees in Tuscaloosa, but the body says its closer to 103. At least that’s what the Weather Channel tells me. Either way, it must have been too toasty for an outdoor workout.
Alabama is currently working indoors on the second day of classes. There didn’t seem to be much out of order today either. The quarterbacks were the only players I spotted wearing black jerseys.

The media viewing period was briefer than normal on Tuesdays, so there is no video to post.
Just one item of note.
There wasn’t a Marcell Dareus sighting with the defensive ends. He was out there Monday, limping on a heavily taped ankle, but he was out there. No word on why he was not around for the eight minutes we spent inside the pearly gates. If I find out, you’ll be the first to know.
Alabama is practicing inside today, and before you ask, Mark Ingram was not spotted during the media viewing period. Don’t be confused in the video posted below, the No. 22 is on the scout team. IT IS NOT MARK INGRAM.

Here are two quick looks inside Alabama football practice from this afternoon. First, strength and conditioning guru Scott Cochran makes his rounds, spreading cheer.
Next, defensive line coach Bo Davis teaches the proper technique for hitting the sled. After several reps, the equipment breaks down.
There were no black jersey-wearing Alabama football players riding the bike this afternoon as practice resumed in still-hot Tuscaloosa.
Cornerback DeMarcus Milliner had extra tape on his previously sprained ankle, but he was on the field working with the first-team defense.
There had been reports that Athens (Ala.) product Alfred McCullough had been working with the first-team offensive line at right guard, but he seemed to be with the backups during today’s media viewing period.

For the first time since Saturday, the Crimson Tide practiced. Two days separated Saturday’s scrimmage from today’s return to the practice fields.
DeMarcus Milliner was the only wearing a black non-contact jersey for the injured as Blake Sims was back with the healthy.
